    Description

    This antique French portrait in its original brass frame measures 6" long, 5 1/4" wide framed and features a portrait of Princess Marie of France. The frame has a band of applied twist around the outside and two leaves at the top. There was a band of velvet between the outer frame and bezel and the glass is convex. The portrait is lovely and colorful--Marie in her pink and white dress holding pink and white roses. Her white hair is decorated with a pink flower also. In the background is a tree, blue sky and a sunset. The painting is signed "S. Fici." The painting is in fine condition with no discoloring or loses. The frame is allover good but has two issues--the velvet is worn to the backing and the easel back is broken so the piece is only a wall hanger.
